Warm Clothing for North Bay

Wednesday’s Gift recently answered the call for clothing from a sister non-profit. Sonoma County Acts of Kindness is another volunteer run organization that acts on the behalf of the homeless community living in the many camps. We are so thankful for all of the folks who have donated nice warm clothes to Wednesday’s Gift- we were able to bring a trailer full of donations to replenish the stores of our friends up north.

Thank you for helping us help people any way we can!!

LeRoy is Wednesday’s Gift man on the streets! He stays busy every week picking up and hand-delivering gift cards to partner agencies and recipients for our “Bridging the Gap” Program. LeRoy also handles all the banking, check writing, and reconciliation as our Treasurer.

Wednesday’s Gift also wishes to congratulate LeRoy on achieving 35 years of sobriety and working tirelessly for those in need for the past six years as a WG board member.

Wednesday’s Gift Recipient Story:

G.W. is a very nice young man who approached Wednesday’s Gift for help in March. He is several months sober, living in transitional housing and beginning a new life. He has a job in the East Bay installing solar panels, but his very old car died. Without transportation he could no longer get to work. Wednesday’s Gift assisted him with $500 toward purchasing a used car that will enable him to continue working and transition into more permanent housing. He was truly grateful.
